Thank you for the shout-out, my friend! Would love to do another collab with you in the near future.
This is a great article, and I love this topic. I would like to share a small thought on how I tackle this topic, if I may.
While it’s certainly true that you should surround yourself with people who inspire you, and whom you admire, like Maarten van Doorn added insightfully, I would also try to focus more on being one of the 5 great people in other people’s lives. It all starts with you.
How can I be a great/better friend?
How can I be of valuable service to someone?
What small thing can I do today to make someone’s day better?
If you focus on growing as a person, the circle of people around you changes automatically. This is because you start to see yourself in other people, but also start to realize which characteristics of others you don’t want yourself to embody. Where did you come from and where do you want to go with yourself?
This doesn’t make anyone a bad person. It makes you become more aware of yourself and the world.
Thank you for making me think about this today!
