Cyberpunk 2077 Review

A futuristic open world RPG screaming with potential, yet overrun by glitches and flatlines

I’m a console gamer at heart, especially considering I spent my first decade of gaming on a Playstation One, leading up to PS2 and PS3.

That being said, I did play this game on a PC. With every new showcase they represented — especially the ones focusing on graphics, world-building and other technical avenues — made me feel like this was primarily a PC game.

Also, I love story-driven, single-player games. I don’t care much about multiplayer games or MMO’s. Shooters like Call of Duty or Doom don’t capture me anymore.

Give me games like God of War, Uncharted, Legend of Dragoon, Final Fantasy, The Witcher, Rayman and Mass Effect.

Let me start by saying that any game that gathers a ton of hype pre-release will always have a big target itself. Many people’s expectations will be so high that it’s nearly impossible for developers to soothe them. And CDPR fueled these up significantly more than they had to. I think that’s one reason why so many people are complaining about the actual end product.

Now, I’m not going to hammer on the console versions, even though I fully agree that this game shouldn’t have been released in the state it…
