Be Mindful of the Game You’re Playing.
We all participate in various social, financial, mental and emotional games throughout our different life cycles. Some choose to actively invest in them, while others ignorantly get sucked in.
Either way, we should always determine if the benefits outweigh the struggle and if the person we have to be aligns with who we want to be. Competing in popularity contests seems alluring until we eventually realize that peace and durability are much healthier and stabler achievements.
Regular moments of self-discourse can help clarify if we’re still playing the game we think we’re playing, and if we still want to play the game we’re actually playing. Don’t become a prisoner to your current ideas, decisions and circumstances — an open mind yields more opportunities.
Play to win the game you choose, instead of losing in those imposed by others.
